We are currently hiring a Part-time Administrative Assistant to support our our After-school Program, Monday – Thursday, from 2 pm – 6 team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Clinical program staff, student participants and their families by serving as a staff to student to family liaison;, and our organization, contribute to efficient operations, and play a key role in ensuring smooth administrative processes. NxGen Stars is seeking associate counselors to support a variety of intensive, integrated group and individual activities, in its after-school program. Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) will help student participants work to resolve conflicts with others, understand feelings such as anxiety and depression, and try out new solutions to old problems. The length of treatment mirrors the 180- day school year and will depend, of course, on the complexity and severity of problems. LAC’s will be responsible for providing functions related to the delivery of social and emotional mental health care to assigned students. This will include Intake Assessment, Treatment Planning, Individual/Family/Group Therapy services, Crisis Intervention, and Crisis Stabilization. RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct mental health services (intake assessment, treatment planning, individual/family/group therapy services, and crisis interventions) to assigned clients. Provides services at approved locations as determined by clinical need.
  • Monitors his/her caseload, daily, via the case management system and completes all necessary documentation as required.
  • Completes documentation required by managed Care and/or private insurance for approval of service reimbursement.
  • Completes daily progress notes and Safety/Incident Reports on or before the end of the next calendar day as outlined.
  • Furnishes required reports to DCFS, legal system and other involved agencies.
  • Complies with HIPPA guidelines and follows Privacy Practices.
  • Attends clinic meetings.
  • Attends Staffing with Clinical Staff training while maintaining a 90% compliance rate.
  • Maintains a current state license as a Licensed Associate Counselor
EDUCATION A master’s degree from an accredited University or College in social work, psychology, or counseling and licensed as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Arkansas. JOB SKILLS Required: Ability to retain confidentiality and HIPPA guidelines. Ability to provide mental health services effectively and ethically to clients, client’s family members, professionals, and staff. Some in-state travel may be required. These professionals will be responsible for providing curriculum structured interventions for student participants who are enrolled in the after-school program. QP’s ensure the delivery of high-quality treatment and an inclusive and caring environment for each student. QP’s are also responsible monitoring student participant engagement, reinforcement of program core competencies and philosophies in a positive manner that is consistent with the mission and values of the program.   • Psychology — Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Therapy and Counseling — Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Administrative — Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Sociology and Anthropology — Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, cultures, and their history and origins.
  • Education and Training — A bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of experience working with school-aged students.
     o Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching         and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Law and Government — Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
Education:
  • A Master’s degree in psychology, counseling or a related field required.
